ITALIANS CONVICT A SCORE OF AMERICAN KIDNAPPERS

The world is changing and it is encouraging that for the first time American intelligence agents have been held accountable in an Italian court for their misdeeds, in this case for the kidnapping of an individual in the name of a "war on terrorism". All my life I have seen other nations held accountable for misdeeds real and imagined.  The United States and Israel, however, never seems to be held accountable to the same standard they enforce against others.

Finally, finally a court has held American government operatives responsible for the crimes they committed by kidnapping an individual without any due process of law.  Of course I don't think we can count on the United States extraditing these spies to Italy to serve their sentences.  Maybe this ruling will end "special rendition", ie. the kidnapping and imprisonment of any individual selected as targets by the President, the Vice-President or other high government officials who are of course the true scoundrels.
